At JLI Legal and Forensics we are doctors specializing in Legal and Forensic Medicine, with extensive experience in matters of special complexity.
Our detailed and ordered expert reports are characterized by being based on objectivity and always being accredited and justified through medical documentation.

The principles under which the medical expert is performed are as follows:

  • Impartiality. Expert reports are made without interest or affective or economic.
  • It is the search for the truth based on documentation and conclusive medical studies.
  • There must be honesty in terms of the expert’s knowledge and experience, rejecting medical expertise that leaves this area.
  • confidentiality and privacy. The results of the evaluations and studies must be private, and there must be confidentiality except when presenting themselves in court.

The expert medical report consists of analyzing the current state of the interested party providing information about the diagnosis, treatment, follow-up or applied care; It will also be possible to detect if there has been any type of medical negligence in the process (malpractice), and They will delimit the damages suffered in the subject.

Each case comprises the following phases:

    2. Medical examination (anamnesis and medical examination).
    3. Contribution of necessary documentation for the preparation of a report.
    4. Claim study, previous medical and non-medical reports.
    5. study of previous medical experts.

The feasibility study can be positive or negative since it is not always favorable nor does it allow to prove what happened; There would be no medical arguments to issue an expert that could be successfully defended before a judge or court.

If the result of the feasibility study is positive, the expert medical report will be prepared.

Throughout the procedure, continued legal medical advice is offered to the patient or their legal representatives, working in coordination with them.

In summary, the deadline for carrying out the feasibility study in approximately 10 days and 20-30 days for the legal medical report; These times could be shortened depending on the urgency of the case.
